Here we have the folks who have made me. Either literally or figuratively, I am who I am today because of the love, support, guidance and direction of these folks. They are my foundation and my source!
WILLIAM "BILLY" KERSEY - PARTNER IN CRIME AND BEST HUSBAND EVER
DEBORAH DUFFY - MOM
(AND #1 REASON THAT I'M AWESOME)
YNDALCIO "FRED" FERNANDEZ - DAD
(AND #2 REASON THAT I'M AWESOME)
TERRY & REINER SCHMITZ - THE BEST IN-LAWS ANYONE COULD ASK FOR
While I, myself, don't have any siblings, Billy has quite a few, as do our parents. So, the extended family is quite large.
Captured here are the folks who I consider my brothers and sisters. They complete the "Inner Circle." We might not be related by blood, but I do love these folks dearly... and "brother-in-law/sister-in-law" seems like an unnecessary amount of syllables anyway.
There are also a VERY select few who I consider "inner circle family" that are related neither by blood or marriage. I've included them here, too!
Billy and I are proud parents of (currently) 3 furry children - Sadie, Edgar and Ralph - and foster parents of 1 furry child - Mee Mee. You'll find them interspersed among pictures of all of the little beings we've loved over the years!
With over 12 years of working in the Learning & Development department of a BPO call center, I've come to meet and engage with a wonderfully diverse host of individuals, and I've grown from knowing each and every single one of them. I've been so fortunate to have these folks as colleagues, direct reports, and peers (but most importantly, MY FRIENDS)!
It's been many years since I taught an in-person class, here are some of the more memorable ones. I do believe there is one photo of a virtual class.
And yes, one of the pictures shows a class of 85 students that I taught for 6 weeks, back in 2016. That is my personal "in-person" record for class size. However, I have taught classes as large as 150 participants, though virtually and with 3 teaching assistants lending their much-appreciated support.
As far as the 85-person class? Doing weekly timecards/payroll for 85 students was an EXPERIENCE, let me tell you!
WHY THREE HOMETOWNS?
A long, long time ago 😉, I was born an only child in Waterbury, CT. My family only lived there for a few months before we packed up and moved to the suburbs of Chicago. We lived there for approximately 6 years until my parents split up. When they divorced, my mother and I moved back to her old neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, NYC. From then on, I would spend the school year in NYC with my mom and summers in Chicago with my dad. Until that is, I moved (quite serendipitously) to Las Vegas in 2002. There I met my current husband, Billy, whom I married in 2010.
Billy and I plan on moving out of Las Vegas within the next 4 or 5 years. Where we'll go next? Not quite sure. We are both from greener climes, so I'm assuming we'll be heading up north somewhere (Hence the need for a remote/work-from-home position. I want to establish roots with my next employer and will, therefore, need my role to be portable!).
